Nature Center Hosts Fall Events

The Pioneers Park Nature Center invites the public to a variety of youth and family-oriented outdoor events this fall. The following activities are planned:

Wild Fall Festival - 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, September 15

This free event features nature-themed games, crafts and live animal presentations. Hayrack rides will be available for $3 per person and tickets will be available at the event. Food from vendors will also be available for purchase-cash only.

Saturday with our Naturalist: Visit the Prairie - 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, September 16

Join Nature Center Naturalist Jamie Kelley for a guided hike to see what's blooming, view the wildlife and enjoy the current season. Plan to be outdoors for the entire hour-long event. The fee is $5 per person. Register by Wednesday, September 13 by calling 402-441-7895.

Fall Hayrack Rides

Private hayrack rides are available Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings now through November 4. Rates are $215 for up to 30 people and $350 for 31 to 60 people. Arrangements can be made for groups over 60.
