Public Invited to Veterans Recognition and Lunch

Veterans and other members of the public are invited to the Aging Partners Veterans Recognition and Lunch at 10 a.m. Thursday, November 9 at the Northeast Senior Center, 6310 Platte Ave. Veterans eat free of charge in recognition of their service. The event will feature a special veterans' roll call recognition and a musical performance by Jimmy Mack at 10:30 a.m. Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m.

Reservations for meals and transportation are required by 1 p.m. Friday, November 6, by calling 402-441-7151. Veterans who will enjoy a free meal also must register by that deadline. There is a $4 suggested meal contribution for non-veterans age 60 and over and an $8 fee for non-veterans under age 60. Transportation will be provided for those age 60 and over within the Northeast Senior Center transportation boundaries, for a suggested contribution of $4 (this rate also applies to veterans).
