Lanes of North 10th Street Downtown

Traffic will be restricted to one lane on North 10th Street, between "P" and Q" streets, starting at 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 5. The two west lanes typically used for entering the I-180 freeway will be closed for concrete repair. The west turning lane onto "Q" Street will stay open. All through lanes are expected to be open by 7 a.m. Friday, Nov. 10. Motorists are asked to exercise caution around City workers.

The work will repair existing damage, prevent potholes and other types of deterioration, and seal the street surface from winter moisture. The project will provide a smoother, safer driving surface for about five to 10 years.

The Public Works and Utilities Department appreciates the public's patience during construction. For more information on the project, contact Tim Byrne, City Project Manager, at 402-416-5342 or tbyrne@lincoln.ne.gov. Current information on street closures is available at lincoln.ne.gov (keyword: closures).
