Nature Center Hosts Two Programs in December

The Pioneers Park Nature Center December schedule includes these two programs Saturday, December 2:

Holiday Greenery Workshop, 9 to 11 a.m. Participants will create a centerpiece, swag or wreath and are encouraged to bring a basket, vase or mug to complete the centerpiece project. Greenery, pine cones, ribbon and other decorations will be provided. The cost is $35, and registration will be open through November 29 or until the workshop is full. The workshop will take place at the Nature Center, 3201 S. Coddington Ave.

Loess Bluffs National Wildlife Refuge Trip, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. This trip takes place during the Eagle Days event at the refuge (formerly Squaw Creek) just outside of St. Joseph, Missouri. The program includes live eagle shows, spotting scope stations, exhibits and other activities. The cost is $50 per person and includes transportation and a sack lunch. Participants will depart from Auld Pavilion, 1650 Memorial Drive in Antelope Park. The registration deadline is November 27.
