Nature Center Hosts March Programs

The Pioneers Park Nature Center invites the public to three programs in March:

Friday, March 2, Moonrise Hike, 6:30 to 8 p.m.

A Nature Center guide will lead participants through the trails for a nighttime experience. This program is open to all, however it may not be suitable for young children. All children under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult. The program fee is $8 per person, and the registration deadline is February 28.

Monday, March 12 - Friday, March 16, Nature Explorer Day Camp, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This day camp is for elementary age students. They will learn about ecology, wildlife and more. Activities include hiking, crafts, hands-on science and games. Participants should dress for the weather and pack a lunch each day. Extended hours are available from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The program fee is $185 per person and the registration deadline is March 2.

Saturday, March 17, Saturday with the Naturalist, 2 to 3 p.m.

Nature Center Naturalist Jamie Kelley will guide you on a hike to explore the trails, see what is in bloom, look for signs of wildlife and enjoy the current season. Participants should dress for the weather. The program fee is $5 per person, and the registration deadline is March 14. The program is also scheduled for 2 p.m. on April 21 and May 19.
