The intersection of South 56th Street and Yankee Hill Road will be converted from a two-way to a four-way stop beginning at 9 a.m. Monday, March 5. The change is necessary to manage an expected traffic increase caused by construction on Pine Lake Road over the next two years. Pine Lake Road from South 61st Street to Nebraska Highway 2 will close to through traffic on Monday for a widening and safety improvement project.
Drivers are reminded that four-way stops operate on a first-come, first-served basis, and drivers take turns, one vehicle at a time. If vehicles arrive at the intersection at the same time, the driver on the right should go first.
