Volunteers Needed to Help Clean Flowerbeds

The Parks and Recreation Department invites the public to help clean the Pinnacle Bank Arena flowerbeds from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday March 24. Volunteers will meet in the arena's Festival Lot, adjacent to and just south of the Breslow Ice Hockey Center, 411 "V" Street.

Registration is not required, but volunteers may register in advance by sending an email to or by visiting New volunteers are asked to complete the volunteer application form at the site. If weather postpones the event, registered participants will be notified of the new date.

Supplies will be provided. Volunteers should dress appropriately for the weather, wear comfortable shoes and bring work gloves. The volunteer event is the first of the 2018 Volunteer in Parks (VIP) Saturday series. The next two events are scheduled for April 21 and May 19, with locations and activities to be determined.
