Lincoln City Libraries invites the public to attend a Seedfolks Garden Party from 11:30 a.m. to noon, Saturday, April 28 at Bennett Martin Public Library, 136 South 14th Street. The event celebrates the themes in the book and play, "Seedfolks," by Paul Fleischman. It is the story of how the lives of 13 people are transformed by their work in a community garden. The play was presented earlier this month at the Lied Center for Performing Arts.

The event is the result of a partnership among the Lied Center for Performing Arts, Lincoln Public Schools, Community Crops and Lincoln City Libraries. Sponsors include the National Endowment for the Arts, as well as the Woods Charitable Foundation, Dr. Phillip Engen, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Nebraska and the Lincoln Arts Council.
