Nature Center Hosts May Events

The Pioneers Park Nature Center invites the public to the following events in May:

Sunday, May 13, Mother's Day Bird Walk and Brunch, 8 to 10 a.m. This guided bird walk includes a continental breakfast. Binoculars will be available. The fee is $16 per person, and the registration deadline is May 9.

Saturday, May 19, Composting Workshop, 10 to 11 a.m. Extension Master Gardeners will demonstrate how to maintain three types of composting bins. The event is sponsored by Nebraska Extension in Lancaster County and the City Recycling Office. This program is free, and registration is not required.

Saturday, May 19, Saturday with our Naturalist, 2 to 3 p.m. Join Naturalist Jamie Kelley for a hike to observe what is in bloom, look for wildlife and enjoy the current season. Participants should dress for the weather. The fee is $5 per person, and the registration deadline is May 16.
