Roper Park Dog Run Improvement Project Starts Thursday

Beginning Thursday, May 31, portions of the Roper Park Dog Run, N. 7th and Adams streets, will be closed for improvements. The installation of concrete paths, benches and two shade structures is expected to be complete in three to four weeks, weather permitting.

During construction, large and small dogs will use a single area. The small dog area will be closed first. Once the small dog area is completed, the large dog area will be closed for work.

The Roper Park facility includes a four-acre space for large dogs and a one-acre area for small dogs. These improvements were made available by additional fundraising after the initial construction was completed in 2017.
