Libraries to Host Author Visit

Lincoln City Libraries invites the public to a free presentation Sunday, September 16 by author Beverly Scott. Scott will host a discussion and read from her book, "Sarah's Secret: A Western Tale of Betrayal and Forgiveness" at 2 p.m. at the Walt Branch Library, 6701 S. 14th Street. The event is co-hosted by the Lincoln Lancaster County Genealogical Society

Scott's debut novel is the culmination of her long-held desire to tell her family story and confirm a rumor about her grandfather. She began with a genealogy search to learn about her mysterious grandfather, who married her grandmother from Thedford, Nebraska, in 1892. "When I could not uncover all the pieces, I decided to use what I knew as a framework and be creative with the rest. 'Sarah's Secret' is the result," Scott said.

Born in Scottsbluff, NE, Scott now lives with her spouse in San Francisco. Copies of the book will be available for sale after the program.
