Aging Partners Offers Free Exercise Classes November 8

Aging Partners invites senior citizens and the public to celebrate the Community Health Endowment's (CHE) 20th Anniversary by participating in three free exercise classes on Thursday, November 8. The schedule is as follows:

The Aging Partners co-sponsored events will feature guest instructor Suman Barkhas, Tai Chi/Yoga Master and Director of the Holistic Healing Institute in Eugene, Oregon. He has trained Tai Chi instructors for state public health departments in Colorado, Florida and Nebraska and holds certifications in Tai Chi for Arthritis, Tai Chi for Diabetes and Qigong instruction.

The classes are free and open to all ages with no preregistration required. Participants may take one or all classes and are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and bring a mat or blanket.

The event is a part of Health 20/20, a series of 20 community-based, health-related events CHE is partnering with local organizations to produce in recognition of their 20 years of making Lincoln a healthy community. More information on CHE is available at chelincoln.org. More information on Aging Partners is available at aging.lincoln.ne.gov.
