The New Americans Task Force is a network of public and private organizations dedicated to supporting New Americans in our community. As a "Welcoming City" we want to assist you in building the lives you seek, removing barriers and providing culturally competent support services. Read about our history.

Since the 1980's, Lincoln, NE has always opened its doors to newcomers. At one point Lincoln resettled over 1000 refugees a year and was the 12th largest resettlement site in the Country. Today, Lincoln Public Schools teaches English to over 3000 students from 50 different countries speaking 48 different languages. Today, Lincoln also house the second largest Karen community in the US.
