Parks

Our goal is to have a park area within one-half mile walking distance of each residence in the community. We enjoy 125 parks in Lincoln with more than half of them identified as neighborhood and mini-parks.  Parks and Recreation also cares for almost 4,000 acres of natural greenspace areas, 2 fenced dog parks and 2 skate parks.  Click here for a list of park locations.

Rickman's Run: Construction Update

This is a Public Works and Utilities water quality project. The establishment of the seeded area will dictate when access will be allowed. The General Contractor and Watershed Management will make the determination when the fence will be removed to provide access to the entire dog park. At the public informational meetings prior to construction, it was discussed that the development of the turf could take up to a year after the completion of the project. For more information on this project, please contact Watershed Management at 402-441-7548.
