Irving Recreation Center

Summer Day Camp 2011

Camp Character, Grades K-2
Camp Character is specifically designed for children who have completed grades K-2.  We help children develop lifelong social skills by implementing the CHARACTER COUNTS! six pillars of character (trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship) into fun recreation activities every day of camp.

Camp Energy, Grades 3-4
Camp Energy at Irving Rec. Center teaches children healthier lifestyle choices through fun recreation day camp activities.  This simple theme provides a framework for making smart nutrition and activity choices.  Every day at camp we promote a healthy balance of staying active while focusing on healthy food choices to help our bodies grow and develop in healthy ways so we can enjoy life to its fullest!

Camp Challenge, Grades 5-7
Camp Challenge is a program for youth who will be enrolled in middle school for the coming school year.  Each week at camp will incorporate a variety of individual and group challenges to promote positive youth development through fun recreation day camp activities.
