Nature Center Preschool Program

Imagine a place
Where children are invitedboy with net

‘please touch’
‘smell this'
‘can you hear?’

A place where it’s OK 'to get a little dirty’

We believe
That early childhood is a time for discovery, a time to enjoy the many miracles of the natural world:

the colors of fall prairie grass
the feel of a snake's skin
the call of the chorus frogs
the smell of plum blossoms

Yearly open enrollment begins February 1st.

The Pioneers Park Nature Center is a perfect place for young children to learn colors, counting, shapes, sizes, and spatial awareness through nature exploration. Our caring staff has a strong commitment to both the environment and to active learning. Your child's individual strengths and talents will be nurtured through a wide variety of daily activities.

The Nature Center Preschool serves children ages three to five years old. An annual enrollment fee must accompany registration. Registration is a contract for a full school year.  Sessions are held September through May:
