Room or Building Rentals
Calvert Recreation Center is available to rent for your reunion, birthday party, meeting or event. Rental includes use of game room with foosball, pool, bumper pool, ping-pong and shuffleboard. Gym also may be available for an additional fee. Call us for more information and to book your event.

Programs for adults

Walking - Ages 18+
For adults who would like to walk in the gym. We’ll help you count your on-going miles.
Days: Monday thru Friday    |    Time: 9:00 am – 2:30 pm    |   Fee: Free

Ceramics - 18+
Learn the basics: cleaning greenware, glazing, staining, lustering, dry brushing and decals. Come develop your skills and learn new techniques. Fee includes firing fee. Participants purchase their own supplies. Instructor will help new participants with all aspects. Minimum start up cost is $25.
Dates: Feb 6-27 (4 wks); Mar 5-26 (4 wks); Apr 2, 16-30 (4 wks); May 7-21 (3 wks)

Programs for youth

Kids Days Off
A program for kids when LPS is not in session. The goals of the program are to provide the children with fun activities and to offer opportunities for social interaction and skill development. We teach teamwork, appropriate social behavior and how to make leisure time positive. Adult staff lead activities including active games and sports, crafts, and occasional field trips. Registration forms are available at the Center.

Creative Link One - Ages 3-4
A preschool program focused on music and art activities. Research shows enhanced development with these activities in early childhood. Goals are increased social skills and creativity. A variety of other activities is also presented. Program is ongoing once registered. New registrations accepted as space available. Fees paid by month.
Days: Tuesday & Thursday    |   Time: 9:30-11:30 am    |   Fee: $60/month

Creative Link Two - Ages 4-5
A program for preschoolers. The spotlight will be on more intricate music and art as well as other early childhood themes. Goals are increased social skills and creativity appropriate for the older preschooler. Program is ongoing once registered. New registrations accepted as space available. Fees paid by month.
Days: Monday, Wednesday & Friday    |   Time: 9:00-11:30 am    |   Fee: $85/month


Programs for Families - All Ages
These events offer families a time to play together and be with other families to socialize and have fun.

Make and Take
A variety of ready-to-paint ceramic pieces (holidays, animals, decorations and more). A great family or individual activity. Your completed pieces make superb home decorations or gifts. Two pieces, all paints and tools provided each meeting. Additional pieces available for $5 each. Call ahead to register, 402-441-8480.
