Our cafeteria, kitchen, gym and classrooms are available to rent for parties, reunions and meetings. Go to parks.lincoln.ne.gov/fstreet to view the rooms online. Call the center for more information and/or to book your event.

Mid Level - High School students.

School's Out - K-5 grades
After School Recreation (Keyword: After School)
Focuses on self-defense through stretching, accuracy, and cardiovascular training. Provides a sense of honor, integrity and respect for elders/superiors, perseverance and self control. Parents are welcome to sign up and take the class with their child. Taught by Michael Melhorn. (Class will not meet on April 20.) Click on the the class title to view class times and fees.

Kids Day Off (Keyword: day off)
Program is offered on days when school is not in session during the school year. Advanced registration is required. Participants are asked to wear active clothing and footwear. FUNdamental Healthy Me Summer Day Camps Keyword: Camp
Registration Begins January 26th! Scholarships Available! Program offered beginning May 26 and runs through August 7. Enrollment is based on full weeks (Monday through Friday). Summer Day Camp at “F” Street is for participants who were in grades K-5 during the 2014-2015 school year. Participants are provided breakfast and lunch through the USDA meal program, and are also provided dinner at “F” Street through our youth dinner program at 4:30p. Advanced registration is required. Title XX is accepted.

Martial Arts - Taekwondo: Ages 5-12 (Keyword: Martial arts)

Dance - Ballet: Ages 3 1/2-9 (Keyword: dance)
Learn basic ballet steps, balance and coordination. Ballet slippers are recommended. Click on the the class title to view class times and fees.
Gear-tech 21 LEGO® Robotics (Keyword: lego)
Build and program simple robots using a LEGO® MINDSTORMS NXT kit. Participants will learn how to use a Handheld GPS receiver, to plot a course, follow a trail and find hidden objects. This program will start Late September and will continue to take team members throughout the year. Click on the the class title to view class times and fees.
Programs for Families
Row, Row, Row Your Boat
Sign up as individuals, partners, or as a family. Meet at Oak Lake, located at Sun Valley Blvd and Charleston Street. Look for the rack of canoes to the north of the parking lot. Fee will be collected at the event. Fishing equipment will be available for use with valid fishing license for those 16 and older. Event will not be rescheduled if cancelled due to inclement weather.

Programs for Adults
Interest - Bicycle Maintenance
(Keyword: bicycle) Adults with an interest in learning about the basic care and maintenance of bicycles are encouraged to attend one of the three available sessions. Classes are designed for beginners to intermediate bicycle owners, in which areas of instruction will focus on bicycle terminology, proper chain maintenance, tire and wheel repair, and other areas of interest. Class registration fee includes a bottle of bicycle lubricant, tire levers, and shop rags. Attendees are encouraged to bring their bicycles for practice and maintenance.

Tai Chi(Keyword: martial arts or tai chi)
Tai Chi is an ancient martial art that has proven health benefits. This class has been modified for adults who have problems with mobility or balance. Participants are taught simple movements that are performed slowly. Click on the the class title to view class times and fees.
Martial Arts - Qigong (Ch’i Kung)(Keyword: martial arts or Qigong)
Qigong is a powerful system of healing and energy medicine from China. It is the art and science of using breathing techniques, gentle movement, and meditation to cleanse, strengthen, and circulate the life energy (qi). Easier to learn than Tai Chi, Qigong practice leads to better health and vitality and a tranquil state of mind. Click on the the class title to view class times and fees.
Basic Computer Skills: Ages 55+
Class will focus on use of Microsoft Word, E-mail, and Internet Usage. An emphasis will be made on Internet Safety as well. Each class will be 30 minutes of group instruction and 30 minutes of practice and questions.

Senior Pitch Tournament
Thirteen point pitch will be played. Call the center to register in advance. Registration fee includes lunch.
