Application Instructions


A separate application and job specific supplemental questionnaire is required for each position for which you are applying. Applications and supplemental questionnaires can be accessed by clicking on Job Vacancies, clicking on to the position title you may view the posted job description. Click on "View", and you may view the supplemental questions for that position. To apply, click on "Apply Now".

On the next screen, click onto "MyInterlinc" to access your account. In the case of a "new applicant/user" create your account by clicking on "Join Now". Assign yourself a user I.D., password and other required information. For repeat applications, just enter your user I.D. and password to proceed. Record the I.D. and password as you will need to remember them for future access to your application.

Applicants without computer access may come to the Human Resources Department, Employment Office, 555 South 10th Street., Room 302. Office hours: M- F; 8:00am - 4:00pm. Computers and staff assistance provided.

NOTE: City/County jobs are updated every Friday at 4:30pm. All electronic submissions need to be received by 4:00pm on the closing date of the position. After the 4:30pm deadline, if you are still entering, the electronic file will disappear - NOT SUBMITTED. Allow yourself plenty of time to complete the application and the supplemental questions well in advance of the Friday closing deadline.

Resumes are not part of the application process, however, may be presented at the time of a personal interview.

The City-County Employment Office does not conduct personal interviews for position vacancies. All applications are evaluated according to individual skills, knowledge and abilities as they relate to the requirements of the position(s). Top applicants are referred to the department for further consideration. This process takes up to 7-10 working days after the position closes. You will either be contacted by phone, or in writing, regarding the position(s) for which you have applied.
