    PERMITS:

    3.2  Combined Use Permit/Special Permit No. 17, requested by J. D. Burt,
	 with Design Associates, on behalf of Stockwell Properties, L.L.C.,
	 for 48,675 square feet of general office, medical office, and
         restaurants, with requests to waive sidewalks along S. 13th Street
	 and Burnham Street and to allow the placement of signage within
	 required front yards, on property generally located at S. 13th and
         14th Streets between Burnham and Stockwell Streets.
	 Planning staff recommendation: Conditional Approval of the Use
	 Permit without the restaurant, Denial of the Special Permit for a
	 drive through restaurant
         Had public hearing.  Deferred at the applicant's request,
	 with CONTINUED PUBLIC HEARING AND ADMINISTRATIVE ACTION scheduled
	 for 12/13/00.  Commissioner Hunter declared a conflict of interest.

    3.3  Special Permit No. 1830A, an amendment to the Mandarin Court Com-
	 munity Unit Plan, requested by Richard Speidell, for a private
         roadway and to waive the private roadway width to three residences
	 from 20' to 16', on property generally located at Mandarin Circle
	 and S. 84th Street.
	 Planning staff recommendation: Denial
	 Had public hearing.  A motion to deny failed
	 2-7 (Hunter and Schwinn voting 'yes'; Carlson, Steward, Newman,
	 Duvall, Krieser, Taylor and Bayer voting 'no').  
         Planning Commission recommendation: CONDITIONAL APPROVAL, with
	 amendment to Condition #1, 8-1 (Carlson, Steward, Newman, Duvall,
	 Schwinn, Krieser, Taylor and Bayer voting 'yes'; Hunter voting
	 'no').

    3.4  Special Permit No. 1886, requested by Brian Carstens and Associates,
	 on behalf of Campus Life/Southeast Nebraska Youth for Christ, to
	 operate a club, on property generally located at 6401 Pine Lake
         Road.  *** FINAL ACTION *** 
	 Planning staff recommendation: Deferral, revised to Conditional
	 Approval on 11/29/00.

    3.5  Special Permit No. 1887, West Point Business Park, requested by

	 public sidewalks on the north side of West "O" Street, east side of
	 NW 40th Street, and internal roadways; and front yard setbacks on
	 interior streets; on property generally located at SW 40th Street
	 and West "O" Street.
	 Planning staff recommendation: Conditional Approval     
         Had public hearing.  Deferred at the request of the applicant,
	 with CONTINUED PUBLIC HEARING AND ADMINISTRATIVE ACTION scheduled
	 for 12/13/00.

    MISCELLANEOUS:

    3.6  Comprehensive Plan Amendment No. 94-56, requested by the Director
	 of Planning, to amend the 1994 Lincoln/Lancaster County Comprehen-
	 sive Plan to adopt the proposed "Southeast Lincoln/Highway 2
	 Subarea Plan" for the area generally from S. 56th to S. 98th
	 Streets, from Old Cheney Road to 1/2 mile south of Yankee Hill
	 Road, including any associated amendments to the land use, phasing,
	 utility, and/or community facilities sections of the plan. 
	 Planning staff recommendation: Continue public hearing until
	 December 13, 2000, then Approval
         Had public hearing.  Deferred with CONTINUED PUBLIC HEARING AND
	 ADMINISTRATIVE ACTION scheduled for January 10, 2001.
