NOTICE: The Lincoln City/Lancaster County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, January 18, 2006, at 1:00 p.m. in the City-Council Chambers, County-City Building, 555 South 10th Street, Lincoln Nebraska, on the following items. The Lincoln/Lancaster County Planning Commission will meet on Wednesday, January 18, 2006, 12:15 - 1:00 p.m. in Room 113 of the County/City Building, 555 S. 10th St., Lincoln, Nebraska, for a briefing by Planning staff on the proposed schedule for the Comprehensive Plan/Long Range Transportation Plan update.

**PLEASE NOTE: The Planning Commission action is final action on any item with a notation of "FINAL ACTION". Any aggrieved person may appeal Final Action of the Planning Commission to the City Council by filing a Notice of Appeal with the City Clerk within 14 days following the action of the Planning Commission. **

The Planning Commission action on all other items is a recommendation to the City Council or County Board.

CONSENT AGENDA: (Public Hearing and Administrative Action) CHANGE OF ZONE: 1.1 County Change of Zone No. 05086(14 K) , an amendment to Article 7.007 of the County Zoning Resolution to add a provision for parking requirements for mini-warehousing in the "B" Business District. PUBLIC HEARING AND ACTION: CHANGE OF ZONE: 3.1 Change of Zone No. 05078(83 K) , amending Title 27 of the Lincoln Municipal Code relating to Zoning by amending Section 27.37.020 to add indoor movie theaters as a permitted use in the B-5 Planned Regional Business District on or after January 1, 2012; by amending Section 27.37.030 to add indoor movie theaters as a special permitted use in the B-5 Planned Regional Business District through December 31, 2011; by amending Section 27.63.630 to clarify that on or after January 1, 2012, pre-existing indoor movie theaters approved by special permit in the B-5 district shall automatically be converted to indoor movie theaters as a permitted use in the B-5 district, and that thereafter there shall be no restriction on the maximum number of theater complexes in each B-5 district and no restriction on the maximum number of movie screens in each theater complex; and repealing Sections 27.37.020, 27.37.030 and 27.63.630 of the Lincoln Municipal Code as hitherto existing. Johnson, on behalf of West Gate, Inc., from R-7 Residential District to B-4 Lincoln Center Business District, on property generally located at 1729 M Street (6-13-01: Planning Commission voted 6-0 to place on pending at the request of the applicant.) 2. Comprehensive Plan Amendment No. 03009, by the Director of Planning, at the request of Jim Hrouda, Mayor for the City of Hickman, to amend the 2025 Lincoln/Lancaster County Comprehensive Plan, to adopt the Hickman Horizon Plan as an approved subarea plan and amend the Land Use Plan to reflect commercial and low density residential uses in the vicinity of Hickman. (5-21-03: Planning Commission voted 6-0 to defer until completion of the rural acreage studies called for in the Comprehensive Plan.) 3. Street and Alley Vacation No. 04013, to vacate all of the east-west alley in Block 65, Original Lincoln, bounded by 13th, 14th, "M" and "N" Streets, generally located at S. 13th Street & "M" Street. (3-16-05: Planning Commission voted 9-0 to place on pending until completion of the Downtown Master Plan at the request of the applicant.) 4. Change of Zone No. 05052, Universal Addition Planned Unit Development, on property generally located at S. 14th Street and Pioneers Boulevard; for a Planned Unit Development District designation of said property; and for approval of a development plan which proposes modifications to the Zoning Ordinance and Land Subdivision Ordinance to allow approximately 370,000 square feet of floor area in the underlying I-2 zoned area.
