The Lincoln/Lancaster County Planning Commission will meet on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, 11:15 a.m. - 11:45 p.m. in Conference Room 113 of the County/City Building, 555 S. 10th St., Lincoln, Nebraska, for a briefing by Urban Development on the proposed "Van Dorn Redevelopment Plan" and the proposed amendment to the Lincoln Center Redevelopment Plan known as the "Gallup Redevelopment Project".

The Lincoln/Lancaster County Planning Commission will meet on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, 11:45 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. in Conference Room 113 of the County/City Building, 555 S. 10th St., Lincoln, Nebraska, for a staff briefing on the "Comprehensive Plan Annual Review and Benchmark Indicators Report".

**PLEASE NOTE: The Planning Commission action is final action on any item with a notation of "FINAL ACTION". Any aggrieved person may appeal Final Action of the Planning Commission to the City Council by filing a Notice of Appeal with the City Clerk within 14 days following the action of the Planning Commission. **

The Planning Commission action on all other items is a recommendation to the City Council or County Board.

CONSENT AGENDA: (Public Hearing and Administrative Action) COMPREHENSIVE PLAN: 1.1 Comprehensive Plan Conformance No. 08005, to review the proposal to declare property as surplus, generally located at N. 56th Street and Bluff Road, as to conformance with the 2030 Lincoln City-Lancaster County Comprehensive Plan. Public hearing before City Council tentatively scheduled for Monday, May 12, 2008, 5:30 p.m. 1.2 Comprehensive Plan Conformance No. 08006, to review as to conformance with the 2030 Lincoln City-Lancaster County Comprehensive Plan an amendment to the "Lincoln Center Redevelopment Plan" . The proposed amendment for the Gallup Redevelopment Project Area provides for the redevelopment of an existing building and the removal and reconstruction of an adjoining building. The Lincoln Center Redevelopment Plan Area is generally bounded by Salt Creek, Interstate 180 and "R" Street on the north, 17th Street on the east, "G" Street on the south, and Salt Creek, 2nd Street and Sun Valley Boulevard on the west. The following waivers are also being requested: a) to allow sanitary sewer to flow opposite street grades, b) to allow sanitary sewer to exceed 15 feet in depth, c) to allow local/ arterial street intersection spacing less than 1/4 mile, d) to not require pedestrian sidewalks in blocks in excess of 1,000 feet in length, and d) to allow non-radial lot lines. Any waiver requests that are recommended for denial by the Planning Department will be forwarded to the City Council for public hearing.
