I have always wanted to build a two car garage on the back of my property at 3422 Grimsby Ln, but due to current height requirements it would have to be a low pitch roof. It would have looked totally out of place. Our house is a two story with a 16/12 pitch. I believe a 1-1/2 story garage with an ADU on the top floor would fit our needs and match the proposed requirements for ADU's. I look forward to this change and the ability to build a garage that matches our house.
