Officer Nikki Loos has been an officer with LPD since June 2006. She was selected as a canine handler in 2009. Nikki is the first female certified as a police service dog handler for LPD.
Dexter is a Belgian Malinois from the Netherlands. He is trained as a dual purpose canine, in patrol and narcotics. Dexter is the 44th dog to serve in the Lincoln Police Department's K-9 Unit.
