Three individuals have been arrested in connection with over 200 vandalisms that occurred over the weekend of November 11th, 2005. The vandalisms were city-wide and consisted of windows being broken out of vehicles and businesses. The number of incidents is over 200 and the total property damage loss is likely to exceed $100,000.00

Through initial descriptions by an eye witness and surveillance video from an electronics store that was victimized, we were able to distribute this information through media outlets. The description was of a newer model Silver or Gray Mitsubishi Eclipse. The police department received several tips through Crimestoppers and ultimately the three were developed as suspects. Chad Renker owns a Silver 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse. The pellet guns that the three used were shoplifted from local stores.

These three men were each arrested on two counts of felony criminal mischief.

The alert citizens who were able to supply police with information on the suspects and the ability of the electronics store to supply us with video of the vehicle were keys in solving these crimes. Once again, Crimestoppers proved to be an extremely valuable tool in assisting our investigators to successfully solve these crimes.
