Officers of the Lincoln Police Department plan an increased presence during the two nights of Americruise, July 28th and 29th, 2006.

This national event, which will be held at the State Fair Grounds, draws hundreds of vehicles and thousands of spectators to the ‘O’ Street area for evening cruising during the two days of the event.

Through a mini-grant, provided by the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety, extra officers will be on-duty monitoring traffic and enforcing any ordinances that are violated including traffic violations, alcohol-related offenses and other law violations.
