Omaha Man Shot and Killed on North 27th Street

The Lincoln Police Department is investigating the shooting death of 28 year old Doyle Bryant that occurred at about 1:50 a.m., early Sunday morning, August 6th 2006. A red Dodge Charger that Doyle Bryant was the front seat passenger in, was driving northbound on 27th Street at about Folkways when another car fired several shots into the Charger. The Charger was being driven by 25 year old Lynell Green who was shot in the left leg. Twenty seven year old Daryl Bryant was the left rear passenger in the Charger and was shot in the left leg. A 27 year old man was in the right rear seat and was not shot. All of the victims are from Omaha. The vehicle struck a pole after the victims were shot and then was driven by Green southbound on 27th Street to Y where he saw a police cruiser and flagged down the officer. The victims were then transported to Bryan LGH West where Doyle Bryant was pronounced dead. No arrests have been made at this time.
