The Lincoln Police Department responded to an apartment at 1344 D Street, on Friday, August 4th, at 7:40 PM regarding a woman, later determined to be Sharon Kay DeSantiago, age 43, lying on the floor and not breathing. Upon arrival it was discovered that the female was deceased and appeared to have been there for a period of time. Police are investigating the death as a possible homicide. An autopsy is schedule for Monday, August 7th, to determine the exact cause of death.

DeSantiago was last seen on Wednesday evening, August 2nd, shortly before midnight. There were signs of a struggle in the apartment. Police are asking anyone who may have heard any kind of a disturbance or argument in the area of 14th & D Street late Wednesday evening to contact them at 441-7204 or call Crime Stoppers at 475-3600.
