The Lincoln Police Department has arrested Turner McDaniel, age 22, for 1st Degree Assault in connection with the assault of Aaron Obermier, age 34, in downtown Lincoln. Witnesses were able to identify McDaniel as the person responsible for the assault after local media outlets aired information regarding this assault and asked for information.

Turner McDaniel is currently awaiting trial for this assault.

Aaron Obermier sustained critical head injuries as a result of the assault and was on life support for nine days. He is currently recovering from his injuries at a long-term care facility.
