The Lincoln Police Department will monitor traffic along the designated detour route during the ‘O’ Street construction and will enforce all traffic violations that may occur. In addition to the designated detour route officers from the Northeast and Southeast Team area as well as the Traffic Enforcement Unit will be monitoring traffic in the residential streets surrounding ‘O’ Street and the detour to make sure that these streets remain safe despite the increased traffic flow. All drivers are reminded to try to use the designated detour route and to be patient during this construction phase.
