Police Search for Suspect in Assault
Lincoln Police are looking for a man who molested a 7-year-old girl Sunday, April 13, 2008, at Sunrise Park near the 7300 block of Douglas Street in Northeast Lincoln. The man reportedly approached two seven year old girls sometime between 12:30 p.m. - 1:45 p.m. and told them he was a firefighter. The man told the girls there was a leak at nearby Norwood Park Elementary School and asked one of the girls to run home to get tools so they could fix the leak. When she returned with an adult, the man was gone and the other girl said he had touched her inappropriately.
The suspect is described as a white man, 20- 30 years of age, with brown hair. He was wearing a black jacket with gray trim and jeans. We do not think the man was a firefighter. Please contact Lincoln Police or Crime Stoppers (475-3600) with any information.
