Suspicious Activity at Von Maur
On March 18, 2008, at 11:05 am, Lincoln Police Officers responded to Von Maur located in SouthPointe Pavilions, 2900 Pine Lake Road. Employees reported that an individual walked through the store carrying a butcher knife. The store was evacuated and searched by law enforcement. The suspect was not located. Subsequent investigation leads us to believe that the suspect was taking the knife to be sharpened at another store in the mall.
No one was injured in the incident and threats were not made or implied. We do not know the identity of the man, described as a white male, in his 60s, with gray hair, glasses, wearing a dark shirt and dark blue jeans. Though there was not a criminal offense, officers would like to speak with the man to clear up the details.
