Lincoln Police Search for Bank Robbery Suspect
At 9:52am on January 22, 2009, Lincoln Police were sent to US Bank at 3300 S. 10th Street on the report of a bank robbery. The suspect entered the bank alone and handed the teller a note. He did not display a weapon but held his hand in his pocket as if to imply that he had one. He left with an undisclosed amount of money. He was last seen walking away from the bank northbound. Fortunately, no one inside the bank was physically injured.
The suspect has been described as a white male, in his 30s, 5'10" tall and approximately 200 pounds. He has blond facial hair and possibly a goatee. He was last seen wearing a black or navy blue ball cap with a red bill, a royal blue coat with a white tee shirt underneath, light colored denim jeans, black shoes and a wedding band.
Still images from the video surveillance footage at US Bank have been released. We encourage anyone with information to call Lincoln Police at 441-6000 or call Crime Stoppers at 475-3600. US Bank has also offered a reward of up to $10,000 for anyone with information leading to the arrest of the man responsible.
