Three Large Marijuana Operations Discovered, Five Arrested

Over the weekend, three large marijuana grow operations were dismantled by the Lincoln/Lancaster County Narcotics Task Force. It began Friday, March 5, 2010, with the service of a search warrant at 5210 N. 11th Street. Ultimately, 685 marijuana plants were seized from the home. Kevin Belton and Aaron Polk were inside the residence and taken into custody.

On Saturday, March 6, 2010, two additional warrants were served at 3260 Dudley and 2620 Norman Circle. At that time, Chien Nguyen, Chuong Ngo and Bans Truong were arrested. At the Dudley address, investigators found 412 plants and 347 stemmed roots. On Norman Circle, 202 plants and 429 stemmed roots were located.

All three homes were converted into sophisticated grow operations with modified electrical and ventilation systems. A significant amount of equipment, including electrical boxes, grow lights and drying rooms were used to makes these operations productive. Investigators believe all five men were involved in setting up and/or operating these grow operations. They were lodged in Lancaster County Jail for Manufacture Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver. This is an on-going narcotics investigation.
