Fatal Stabbing in Southwest Lincoln
The Lincoln Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred Monday, September 19, 2011, at 2255 S. 9th Street. Officers were called to the address at 2:00 pm on the report of a possible stabbing. Upon arrival, an individual was found performing CPR on 29 year old Peter Hardy, who was lying in the front yard. A second victim, 36 year old Donnie Rodgers, was pacing in the yard. Both men suffered multiple stab wounds and were transported to a Lincoln hospital. Peter Hardy was later pronounced deceased. Donnie Rodgers is expected to fully recover from his injuries.
Subsequent investigation led to the identification of Angelo Pedrosa as a suspect. He was last seen leaving the scene on a silver mountain bike. Angelo Pedrosa was later located at a motel in southwest Lincoln. He was taken into custody at 11:15 am, Tuesday, September 20, 2011, for 1st degree Assault and Use of a Weapon to Commit a Felony. Additional charges are possible after the County Attorney's Office reviews the case.
This is the fourth homicide in Lincoln this year.
