Lincoln Woman Arrested for LPS Arson
A joint investigation by the Lincoln Police Department, the Bureau of Fire Prevention, Lincoln Fire and Rescue, with cooperation from Lincoln Public Schools, has led to the arrest of 44 year old Sharon Brewster.
On May 30, 2011, a fire at the Lincoln Public Schools' District Office, 5901 O Street, caused an estimated $20 million in damage. Fire inspectors later determined that the fire originated in a cubicle, on the desk top. Written statements provided early in the investigation led to Sharon Brewster as a suspect. Sharon was employed with Lincoln Public Schools and had been in the building to drop off records just prior to the fire.
Sharon Brewster has been lodged in the Lancaster County Jail for 1st degree Arson.
