Search Underway for Missing Man
Lincoln Police are searching for a missing seventy-five year old male. Roland Leavitt's wife awoke this morning to find her husband gone. Their vehicle, a 2003 Toyota Camry (Nebraska plate SUI034), was also missing from the garage. Roland was last seen in their home, near 56th and Van Dorn, at 11pm last night. Roland suffers from Alzheimer's disease and has not driven in approximately 9 months. The vehicle had less than 1/8th tank of gasoline and he left his wallet behind. Roland's diagnosis contributes to poor memory loss, including no recollection of his name, address or phone number.
Roland Leavitt is 5'10", 172 pounds with grey hair and hazel eyes. He may still be wearing flannel pajama pants and a white t-shirt. If located, please contact the Lincoln Police Department at (402) 441-6000.
Update: Roland was located at 2:20pm by the Butler County Sheriff's Office. Arrangements have been made to reunite him with his family.
