LPD Honors Fallen Officers for National Police Week
The public is invited to the Lincoln Police Department's ceremony Tuesday, May 14, 2013, to honor fallen law enforcement officers as part of Peace Officers Memorial Day. The event begins at noon on the east steps of the Justice and Law Enforcement Center, 575 S. 10th Street. The ceremony will include keynote remarks from Deborah Gilg, United States Attorney for the District of Nebraska.
Lincoln Police Chief Jim Peschong stated, "This is an opportunity to honor and pay tribute to local officers who gave their lives while serving the citizens of Lincoln." Fallen LPD officers to be honored during the ceremony:
