Lincoln Police Investigate Homicide of Jarvis Long

On January 16, 2014, 10:41 a.m., Lincoln (NE) Police were dispatched to Peter Pan Park, 939 N. 33rd Street. Neighbors of the park reported seeing a man lying on the ground, injured. Twenty seven year old Jarvis Long was found unresponsive and declared deceased. He had been stabbed several times. Jarvis Long's death is being investigated as a homicide. This is the first homicide reported in Lincoln in 2014.

Investigators are still piecing together the events that preceded Jarvis Long's death. Late Wednesday - early Thursday, Jarvis was walking between friends' homes in the Clinton/Malone neighborhood.
