Danny Tucker Arrested in Death of Earl Richardson III
The Lincoln (NE) Police Department is investigating the death of thirty-one year old Earl Richardson III. At 11:16 p.m., June 20, 2014, officers of the Lincoln (NE) Police Department were dispatched to the area of 27th and N Streets on a report of gunshots. Earl Richardson III was found lying on the ground behind 217 S. 27th Street. He was unresponsive, suffering from two gunshot wounds. Rescue efforts were attempted at the scene before he was transported to Bryan West Campus. Once at the hospital, Earl Richardson III was pronounced deceased.
Further investigation revealed that Earl Richardson III and Danny Tucker attended a gathering at the residence earlier in the evening. The two engaged in a physical altercation over an unpaid drug debt. Danny Tucker left, but returned a short time later armed with a gun. Earl Richardson III was on the back porch of the home when the shooting occurred. Danny Tucker was later located at a residence in Northwest Lincoln. He was taken into custody without incident.
On Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 12:30 p.m., Danny Tucker was lodged at the Lancaster County Jail for 1st degree Murder and Use of a Weapon to Commit a Felony. The investigation is on-going.
