What We Do
We perpetuate the City's fleet of equipment through:
- Development of state of the art vehicle specifications, sound purchasing and negotiating practices to acquire only appropriate and necessary vehicles to meet the City's needs
- Practicing fiscal responsibility by managing the fleet in a manner that insures the lowest possible operating cost while maintaining consistently high mechanical reliability
- Providing for a service facility which will provide superior customer service to the customers, while maintaining a self-supporting posture
- Maintaining, repairing and disposing of vehicles in a manner that brings the highest possible return on investment
- Managing eight automated fuel sites throughout the City and continuing to investigate alternative fuel options
- Operation of automated systems for fleet management, fuel distribution, depreciation/replacement, and fiscal budget preparation
- Keeping our customer departments foremost in our minds and involved in the entire process for the betterment of the fleet and the City
