- If you drive your bike in the street, then you are a DRIVER and must follow the rules of the road.
- Bikes are vehicles, just like cars and trucks.
- Stop and search both directions for traffic every time you drive out into a street from another street, sidewalk, driveway, parking lot, or alley.
- Walk your bike across busy intersections.
- Before making a turn, search in all directions, and in front and behind you, for traffic.
- Use hand signals when you stop or make a turn.
- Don't drive your bike after dark.
- Wear a helmet to protect your head.
