- Make arrangements to pick up children at a designated spot away from the school to cut down on traffic congestion in front of the school building.
- Car pool with neighbors to reduce the number of cars going to or from a school area.
- Children need to leave and enter cars on the right side only.
- Children need to use crosswalks to reach a waiting car. Crossing in the middle of the block could be hazardous.
- Never stop in a traffic lane to load or unload children.
- To prevent children from walking between cars, do not double park.
- Don't block bus loading and unloading area.
- Don't park within 25 feet of a crosswalk.
- Check for children before backing out of parking spaces.
