Average Daily Traffic Volumes

Each year the Public Works Department gathers various types of traffic count data. At the end of the year the data is compiled and an Average Daily Traffic Volume (ADT) listing and associated maps are produced. There are three different types of traffic counts utilized for this listing; City Mechanical or "tube" counts, 6 Hour Manual Intersection Turning Movement Counts and State Mechanical Counts. If a recent count has not been conducted for a segment of roadway, the previous year's ADT for that segment may be adjusted to accommodate any increase in growth. The listing and associated maps show traffic volumes for all arterial and some collector streets in and around the corporate city limits of Lincoln, as well as some State and Interstate Highways surrounding Lincoln.

Each Year will contain three (3) different components: 1) The Listing 2) A Downtown Map and
3) A City Map. Prior to 1993, the listing is unavailable.
