Holdrege is scheduled to be closed from 70th to 79th April 11–June 17, 2011.
70th is scheduled to be closed from Aylesworth to Vine May 23–July 12, 2011.

The City of Lincoln proposes to widen, mill and overlay Holdrege Street from 70th Street to 79th Street starting the week of April 11, 2011 weather permitting. Holdrege Street will be widened from 27' to 34' adding 3.5' on both sides of the street. The existing pavement will be milled and overlaid with new asphalt. Sub-standard ADA facilities (i.e. curb ramps and truncated domes) will be reconstructed to meet minimum requirements at all intersections.
Holdrege Street will be closed to through traffic for 68 days. The contractor will complete work on Holdrege Street in approximately three block segments. The City will work with local businesses regarding access during construction. Detour for StarTran Route #42 will be from 68th and Holdrege → 68th and Aylesworth → Aylesworth and Urbana → Urbana and 76th.
