7th and Old Cheney Area Drainage Improvement Project
The purpose of this project is to reduce the flooding along Old Cheney. The project will improve channel capacity and establish grade control structures to prevent erosion along the new improved drainage way. The drainage structure at 701 Old Cheney Road will also be replaced.
14th from Cushman to Old Cheney - Pavement Repair
This work will involve grinding and replacement of damaged asphalt in the southbound, inside lane. Work will be completed under lane closures.
23rd and Lynn Area Water Main Replacement Project
The water main will be replaced on Lynn from 23rd to 25th; "W" from 22nd to 26th; 23rd from Vine to "W"; and 26th from Vine to "W." Water services will be transferred to the new main on 25th from Lynn to "W."
27th Street Pavement Repair Project
Construction will include repairing or removing and replacing deteriorated concrete panels, joints and curbs; and sealing joints and cracks. Other work includes removing and replacing damaged storm sewer inlet tops, curb ramps that do not meet Federal and local standards, and reconstruction of traffic signal elements impacted by the work.
NW 48th from W Vine to W Adams
Construction on NW 48th Street between West Vine Street and West Adams Street is scheduled to begin the week of March 30, 2015. Currently a two-lane roadway, NW 48th Street will be reconstructed as a four-lane divided road between West Holdrege Street and West Adams Street.
56th from Old Cheney to Shadow Pines
The roadway is designed as a 4-lane paved section with turn lanes and a raised median. Construction is scheduled to begin on Monday, April 20, 2015, weather permitting.
70th from Van Dorn to Eastborough - Pavement Repair Project
This project includes pavement repair, the reconstruction of pedestrian curb ramps that do not meet current federal and local standards, and the replacement of a pedestrian crossing signal at 70th Street and Lincolnshire Road.
Fletcher from NW 12th to NW 1st - Pavement Repair
This work will involve grinding and replacement of damaged asphalt in the eastbound, outside lane. Work will be completed under lane closures.
Gladstone from 35th to 37th
Work will begin at the north end of the project on the newly established 36th Street approximately 600 feet north of the centerline of Gladstone Street. Construction work on Gladstone Street will begin at the existing concrete return at 35th Street and extend to the east side of the driveway entrance into the homes on the south side of the street.
Lakewood Drive from Wedgewood to Glenwood
On Friday, August 21st, a small section of a 12" water main ruptured on Lakewood Drive. The force of flowing water caused heaving and settlements to adjoining driveways and sidewalks. Due to the size and scope of the work an emergency paving repair was declared and contractor bids were requested to expedite restoration of the roadway.
Lincoln Children's Zoo Water Quality and Educational Project
The purpose of this project is to reduce runoff and promote infiltration at the Lincoln Children's Zoo site in order to reduce pollution flowing into Antelope Creek, and also to educate the public about water quality.
West "O" from NW 28th to 3rd - Pavement Repair Project
Construction will include repairing or removing and replacing deteriorated concrete panels, joints and curbs; and sealing cracks. Other work includes removing and replacing damaged storm sewer inlet tops, curb ramps that do not meet Federal and local standards, and reconstructing impacted traffic signal elements.

Sheridan Penny Bridges
This bridge replacement project will take place on Sheridan Boulevard just west of 33rd Street. The side-by-side bridges were built in 1934 to carry Sheridan Boulevard traffic over the railroad.
Van Dorn from 33rd to 48th - Street Rehabilitation Project
The project from 33rd to 48th streets includes concrete base repair, asphalt mill and overlay, curb replacement, new pavement markings, sidewalk and ramp reconstruction.
Centennial Mall Renovation Project
The renovation of Centennial Mall will address safety/security and accessibility issues that have developed over time along the entire seven block long mall that extends from "K" Street to "R" Street. Renovation efforts will feature new paved walkways, green spaces/landscaping, fountains, lighting and furnishings.
Lancaster County 2015 Projects
Fiscal Year 2015 Proposed Highway Improvement Program
"N" Street Bikeway
The project includes the installation of a new two-way bikeway on the south side of "N" Street from Pinnacle Bank Arena Drive to 23rd Street.
