16th Street Reconstruction from "A" to "F"
This project provides much needed road repairs and will improve conditions of 16th St. between "A" and "F" streets. Construction of the project is anticipated to begin March 1, 2017 and be substantially completed by August 2017.
33rd from Holdrege to Madison - Mill, Overlay and Storm Drainage Improvements
This is a drainage structure and pavement preservation project intended to improve the driving surface of the existing roadway. Pavement repair along 33rd Street from Holdrege Street to Madison Avenue is expected to begin in Spring 2017 and be complete within several months after start of construction.
NW 48th from W Vine to W Adams
Currently a two-lane roadway, NW 48th Street will be constructed as a four-lane divided road between W. Holdrege Street and Highway 34. South of W. Holdrege Street, the road has been designed as a six-lane road to match NDOR’s interchange project, though only five lanes are being built now. The segment between W. Adams Street and Highway 34 is not scheduled for construction at this time, but preliminary design plans have been completed.
Nance Avenue and “D” Street Water Main Replacement Projects
The Public Works and Utilities Department will begin two water main replacement projects in February 2017. Work will begin Monday, February 20th to replace the main along Nance Avenue from 8th to 12th streets. Work will begin Monday, February 27th to replace the water main along “D” Street from 12th to 20th streets.
