"J" and "L" from 53rd to 55th Stormwater Drainage Project
This project is located in the Dead Mans Run watershed and is bounded by "J" and "L" Streets, from 53rd to 55th Streets. The City of Lincoln is seeking to remedy some of the drainage issues in this area which include: structural and non-structural flooding, ponding in low-lying areas, and bringing the drainage system in the study area into compliance with current City of Lincoln Drainage Standards. Construction is tentatively scheduled for late Fall 2013.
New curb inlets will be built, along with associated storm drain pipes, in an effort to alleviate some of the storm water ponding along "J" and "L" Streets. Additionally, a grate inlet will be constructed in the low area south of "J" Street, just west of 54th Street.
