"P" St. Streetscape Project

11th Street to Centennial Mall

February 21, 2014

The contractor was able to take advantage of the break in the weather during the past week to continue working on the south side of "P" St. from 11th St. to 13th St. All businesses remain open and access to businesses and properties will be available throughout the duration of the work. Please help us to maintain a safe work zone and follow all pedestrian detours.

Work took place at the southwest corner of 11th and "P" St. on reconstructing the sidewalk, curb ramps, some roadway pavement, and to relocate a traffic signal pole.

Work continues at the southwest corner of 13th and "P" St. to construct portions of the storm drain and bioswale areas. Some of the sidewalk in this area was poured back this week. Please remember that changes to the pedestrian access will take place in the next couple of weeks as the work progresses and the need to complete the new sidewalk occurs.

The contractor will begin work early next week at the southwest corner of 14th and "P" St. on demolition of existing pavement and planting beds in order to reconstruct this area. This work will involve a lane closure on 14th St. between "O" and "P" Streets. Pedestrian access will be maintained at this time until the need to remove and reconstruct the sidewalk. Please be aware of the pedestrian routing and upcoming changes to the sidewalks around this area.
