About Lincoln Recycles Day 2011
The City of Lincoln Solid Waste and Recycling Operations will observe Lincoln Recycles Day on November 12, 2011. This is planned in conjunction with America Recycles Day (ARD), which is annually celebrated on November 15. This is the only nationally recognized day dedicated to encouraging Americans to recycle and to buy recycled products. Celebrating its 14th year, it has grown to include millions of Americans pledging to increase their recycling habits at home and work and to buy products made with recycled materials.
Locally, this event will be supported by businesses and organizations in the following ways:
- Pledge Drive: Through November 18th you can pledge on-line to reinforce and improve your recycling habits, or enter a pledge at boxes that are placed at a number of convenient locations.
- A number of events will occur on November 12 at different locations in Lincoln.
There are a wide variety of recycling services available to Lincoln and Lancaster County residents. For more complete information about Recycling Opportunities in Lincoln, see the 2011 Guide to Recycling (2.4 M).
