Caught Green Handed

Caught "Green Handed"

On Friday, November 15, 2013, the City of Lincoln Recycling Office visited 5 recycling drop-off sites to thank residents for their efforts in helping to conserve resources and save landfill space. We would like to acknowledge the following people who were "Caught Green Handed" this year: Gary Statler, Roy Roher, Kathee Griffith, Jan Rohis, Diane Gesiriech-King, Kathleen O'Leary, Jeff and Kristi Janda, Julia McCord, Frank Mills, Lavonne Messman, Margaret Remmenga, Bryce Cuddy, Cody and Sarah Pfeiffer, and Patrick Wells.

These residents received a reusable Russ's Market grocery bag containing Pepsi products, coupons for free food at Amigos, a drawstring bag from the Public Works and Utilities Department, and pencils and a magnet from the Recycling Office. Twenty bags were handed out during this event. Since 1990, the network of drop-off sites has collected over 250 million pounds of recyclables from Lincoln and Lancaster County Residents.
